I’ve built the majority of my photographic art around nude women and the beauty of them, and I love that aspect of my art. But if you know anything about me, you know that I enjoy very dark themes and ideas. Especially in the art I consume, from films to music, and even in real life (serial killers as a thing I enjoy).
I want to create more dark art. It’s my go to when I’m creating music (when it’s not “sample-based Hip Hop beats). I want to do this more with my photography. I’ve done it once with a shoot with my little homie Lavender, but I want to get darker and more creative. The hard part is finding people who are willing to participate. Finding people who are willing to let me create what I have in my head that doesn’t fit into the “aesthetic” of their Instagram feed. Finding people who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and potentially offend. Finding people who aren’t afraid to get messy and dirty.
I have two photography projects that I’m hoping to start/continue working on this year. Alongside of those, I’m hoping that I can start at least one project (even just one shoot) that incorporates the darkness into it.
If you’re reading this and are someone who is interested in getting creative and don’t mind pushing the boundaries of the things I’ve listed above, please send me an email. Let’s discuss some things. Let’s push the lines of darker sides life & death, religion, sexuality, fantasy, horror, and whatever else there is to be pushed.
