Into The Archives, Part 3

You’ve met Lavender.
But meet Diddy!

(Lavender formally known as Diddy, still Diddy to me, though)

I first learned that Diddy existed in March of 2019 when I saw a photograph that she was in with a model that I was interest in photographing at the time (never photographed that model). We had our first shoot a month later, but it wasn’t until July 2019, when we had our second shoot, that we REALLY became homies and began what would be extremely frequent creating together.

I discovered an arcade that had a bunch of vintage pinball machine in it out in Alameda, California while looking for somewhere cool to shoot with Diddy for our second shoot. The day of the shoot, we ended up meeting at an In-N-Out and decided to just start taking photographs there.

Nothing here was staged. Not even the second photograph of her stuff the burger in her face; she just noticed the camera and decided to look into it. We had a lot of fun this day. Walk and talking from spot to spot becoming friends.

Then we finished the afternoon with me treating her to some ice cream and solidifying our future friendship with a genuine smile; the thing that I strive to capture with every shoot of mine.

If you’ve been here for a while, you know that the friendship was a success as there has been a lot of Bishop and Diddy shoots over the past 4 years. I’m planning more. Stay tune.
